Kaleo, huge congratulations! BDDW is one of my favorites! I’ve been following those guys for a while. I am actually currently knocking off their square guest chair to teach myself about working with leather as it relates to furniture making. I am so pumped for you. Back in the states and now you are connected with a great, “design first” furniture company. Can’t wait to hear how it goes.
Here’s one of the links you mentioned re: james krevov.

oh yeah, my 5 fantasy woodworking team….. selected for the inspiration they offer me.
1 - Uhuru Design particularly for the bilge lounge chair….. http://www.uhurudesign.com/work.php?w=70
2 - Henry Built. Their kitchens are great, but their side chair makes me drool everytime I look at it. http://www.henrybuilt.com
3 - Matthew Hilton. His Colombo and Fin Chairs are clean and hearty. http://www.matthewhilton.com
4 - David Trubridge. His steam bent ash Raft Series evokes a sensual organic feeling that I haven’t found elsewhere. http://www.davidtrubridge.com/
5 - Martin Sprouse. clean clean and super clean! http://www.martinsprouse.com

Just wanted to say congrats! Really pullin’ for you in the west!
You live in a great area of the country for culture, design, art, and furniture. There is so much history there.

Kaleo,
A huge congratulations on the new job. I think it is most poignant with your situation because your readers have been with you from school through the transition to “the real world”. Seeing you land the dream job using what you went to school for is really inspiring. Coming from a music background I have gotten so used to seeing those dreams never coming true so it is great to hear about a success story. I am really looking forward to your future shows and posts with this new job and a new city with an incredible furniture making history. Now you will have to figure out how to integrate your contemporary design style into the traditional Chippendale influenced Philly marketplace. Best of luck to you!!
